Who I am
This website is run by Sukesh Das, a freelance web designer and developer based in Habiganj, Bangladesh. In this policy, “I”, “me” and “my” mean Sukesh Das. If you have any question about your data, email me at [email protected].
The short version
- I only collect what I need to reply to you, do the work you ask for, and understand how the site is used.
- I never sell your personal data.
- You can ask me to see, correct or delete your data at any time.
What I collect and why
When you send a project brief or a message
The contact form asks for your name, your email address, your current website (optional), the service you need, a budget range and a message. I use these to reply, prepare a quote and, if we work together, to run the project. A copy is saved in the admin area of this website and sent to my inbox, and you get a confirmation email.
Spam protection
The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a real person is sending it. Turnstile may process your IP address and technical details about your browser. The form also records how long the page was open, which helps block automated spam.
Comments
If you comment on a blog post, your name, email address, website and comment are stored, along with your IP address and browser details to help detect spam. Your email address is never shown publicly.
Analytics
I use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use this site, for example which pages are read, how far people scroll and which buttons are clicked. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects details such as your approximate location, device, browser and the pages you visit. I do not send your name, your email address or the contents of any form to Google Analytics. You can block it in your browser settings or with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
Security and hosting
Like most websites, the server keeps logs of visits, including IP addresses, to keep the site secure and working. A security plugin uses this information to block attacks.
Buying a digital product
If you buy a plugin or another digital product, the payment is handled by the payment provider shown at checkout, which processes your payment details directly. I never see or store your full card details. I keep your name, email address, order details and license key so I can deliver the product, send updates and give support.
Cookies and browser storage
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics, names starting with _ga) tell one visit from another. They last up to two years.
- Your preferences: the site remembers whether you chose light or dark mode, and whether you closed the chat bubble. These stay in your browser and are never sent to me.
- WordPress cookies may be set if you leave a comment (to remember your details) or log in.
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them.
Other services and links
Some buttons open other services, such as WhatsApp, Messenger, Fiverr, Google and social networks, and case studies can show a live preview of a client’s website. Those services have their own privacy policies, and what you do there is covered by them.
Who I share data with
I share personal data only with services that help me run this website and my business, such as my web host, my email provider, Cloudflare, Google and, for purchases, the payment provider. If we work together, I may share project details with services we agree on, such as your hosting company or domain registrar. I may also share data if the law requires it. I do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.
Where your data is stored
I work from Bangladesh, and the services above may store data in other countries, including the United States and the European Union. When data moves between countries, I rely on the safeguards these providers put in place, such as standard contractual clauses.
How long I keep it
- Enquiries: up to three years after our last contact, so I can refer back to earlier conversations.
- Project records and invoices: as long as tax and accounting rules require.
- Comments: until they are removed, by me or at your request.
- Analytics data: up to 14 months.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, for example the UK, the European Union or California, you may have the right to:
- see the personal data I hold about you
- have it corrected
- have it deleted
- object to or limit how I use it
- get a copy in a format you can take elsewhere
- withdraw your consent at any time, where I rely on consent
To use any of these rights, email [email protected] and I will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
I use your data to reply to your enquiry and carry out the work you ask for (taking steps towards or performing a contract), to keep the site secure and understand how it is used (legitimate interests), and where needed, with your consent.
Children
This website is not aimed at children under 16, and I do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes to this policy
If I change this policy, I will update the date at the top of this page.
