Tom and Serena HeuserThe Heuser Team Client review

The Heuser Team is Tom and Serena Heuser, a husband-and-wife real estate team in Las Vegas. Tom specializes in listings and Serena in buyers, across Summerlin, Henderson, North Las Vegas and the wider valley.

The challenge

In real estate, people search for the neighborhood long before they search for an agent. A five-page brochure site would never show up for “homes in The Ridges” or “55+ communities in Summerlin”. The Heuser Team needed a site big enough to answer those searches, and proof strong enough to win the visitor once they arrived.

How big it is

This is one of the largest Squarespace sites I have built. It includes:

  • The main pages: Home, Buy a Home, Sell a Home, New Construction, Contact and a Summerlin real estate FAQ
  • Around 40 neighborhood and community guides, from The Ridges, The Paseos and Stonebridge to Henderson, North Las Vegas, luxury guard-gated communities and 55+ living
  • A Clark County zip code map and a guide to master-planned communities
  • 16 sold-home pages and a sales history page
  • 13 market updates, including the Summerlin market report

Proof before the pitch

Every agent says they are the best, so the homepage shows the record instead: a stats dashboard with career transactions, sales volume and five-star reviews, and a section headed “Warning: All Agents Are Not the Same” that invites visitors to check the numbers on Zillow themselves.

Why Squarespace, with custom code

With this many pages, the team has to be able to add sold homes and update guides on their own, so Squarespace’s editor was the right base. Where Squarespace’s standard blocks were not enough, such as the stats dashboard and the neighborhood layouts, I wrote custom code sections with their own small design system in charcoal, copper and blush, with Playfair Display and Inter.

The result

A site that works like a local guide as much as an agent’s website, with a page waiting for almost every neighborhood question a buyer or seller asks. It scores 100 for SEO in Google Lighthouse, which matters for a site built to be found.
