Paige grew up on a farm, spent over a decade as a senior financial analyst, and now raises feeder cattle and row crops with her family in rural Iowa. Farm Wife Financials is where those two worlds meet: Excel templates that help farm families know their numbers, plus custom financial models for ag lenders, CPAs and attorneys.
The real question: why pay $500 for a spreadsheet?
Farmers can find free calculators anywhere. A grain marketing tracker or a succession planning kit only sells at this price if the buyer believes, within a few seconds, that it was built by someone who understands their operation and that it will save them real money. So the website’s job was less about looking pretty and more about earning trust quickly.

How the site answers it
- Lead with the person. The headline and About page put Paige’s farm background and finance career up front, because “built by someone who understands the dirt, the debt and the decisions” is the reason to buy.
- Show what is inside. Every product card lists the actual tabs and calculations in plain farm language, from LRP estimators to Schedule F lines, so buyers see the value before they click.
- Remove the usual objections. A simple strip near the top makes the key points clear: hundreds of formulas per template, no recurring fees, pay once and keep it.
- Make bigger orders easy. A bundle offer sits at the top of the store for buyers who want the full set.

Two kinds of buyers, two clear paths
A farm family wants to browse and buy. An ag lender or estate attorney wants a branded, custom model and a conversation first. Mixing those on one page would confuse both, so they each get their own route: the template store for producers, and a Professionals page that speaks directly to lenders, CPAs, attorneys, insurance agents and consultants, ending in a Custom Request form that asks the right scoping questions.

What I built
- A Squarespace Commerce store selling digital downloads, with product pages for every template and a full bundle
- About, Professionals, Custom Request, Contact and a Farm Finance Tips blog
- A deep green and cream palette with a classic serif, so it feels grounded and farm-made rather than corporate
- Privacy, Terms and Refund pages plus a clear disclaimer, important when selling financial tools
- On-page SEO and a mobile-first layout, since many farmers browse from the truck, not the office
How we worked
Paige knew her products inside out, so my role was to turn that knowledge into a store that sells. We worked through rounds of updates together, and I kept refining the details until she felt the site was truly finished, not just launched. The result is a store she can run herself, adding new templates as her catalogue grows.

Selling templates, courses or other digital products? Let’s build a store that earns trust.
