Build My Care Limited is a CQC-registered home care provider in Reading, Berkshire. They support older and younger adults, people living with dementia and people with physical or sensory disabilities, and they work with local authorities, healthcare teams and families.
The ask
They needed a professional website live within days, because it had to go in with a submission they were making. There was no time for a long design process, so the build focused on three essentials: look credible to a local authority, explain every type of care clearly, and give families and carers an easy way to get in touch.
What I built
Four pages, each with one clear job:
- Home introduces the company, the six care services, why families choose them and an appointment request form
- Services explains personal care, care for adults over and under 65, dementia care, physical disabilities and sensory impairments
- Career has a job board so they can advertise carer roles and take applications
- Contact Us with phone, email and a message form

Why WordPress, with Kadence and Elementor
WordPress gave us two things the deadline needed: speed of building and a proper job board, which runs on a dedicated plugin rather than a contact form pretending to be one. Kadence keeps the theme light, and Elementor lets the team change text, photos and vacancies themselves without calling me.

The details that build trust
For a care provider, trust comes before anything else. The CQC Registered badge sits in the footer of every page, warm care photography sets the tone, and the blue and white palette stays calm. The layout works well on phones, because that is how most families look for a carer.

Where it landed
The site went live in time for the submission. In Google Lighthouse it scores 100 for best practices and 100 for SEO on desktop. Build My Care now has a site they can keep updating as they grow, and a careers page that keeps working for them while they recruit.
